Port Moody Golden Spike Days is actively looking for enthusiastic, energetic individuals to fill the following positions: Festival Coordinator Level 1 & Festival Coordinator Level 2. Port Moody Golden Spike Days Festival runs from June 30th -July 3rd. Duration of employment will be from May – August, 2017.

Both positions will report directly to the Festival Manager and have direct interaction with the Volunteer Board of Directors. Positions are open to students studying Event Management, Event Planning or Coordination and/or equivalent experience.


  • Must be able to work in a fast paced and deadline sensitive environment.

  • Ability to work and supervise student volunteers for the festival

  • Ability to work as a team to coordinate a successful event

  • Ability to work in a large and crowded environment, with changing weather conditions

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as required.

  • Some knowledge of Event Planning or volunteer coordination an asset

  • Strong Oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Micorosoft Office

These are contract positions and hours will vary between 35-40 hours/week.
