ELSA has been playing guitar since the age of five when she received a Fender Mini-Strat for her birthday. This was the beginning of her life-long musical passion. Her musical influences are Sick of Sarah, Paramore, Tegan & Sara, City & Colour, U2 and early Avril. Elsa has performed her original tunes at many venues over the past couple of years including the Heritage Woods Theatre and Terry Fox Theatre.
When performing, Elsa is backed by an amazing band that includes Garrett
Ward (lead guitar/harmony vocals), Daniel Bottyan (bass/harmony
vocals), and Yann Laredo (drums). The entire band are currently students
at the Terry Fox Rock School and Recording Arts program where they are
learning skills to advance their recording and performance careers.
Last March, ELSA was joined by several of their rock school classmates
to form a super-band that performed for The MusiCounts/Juno Awards
Official Kick-Off Celebration at Terry Fox Secondary. This event was
attended by CARAS/MusiCounts Executives, as well as Juno Nominees, The
Trews, who also performed at this special event. ELSA is busy in the
Terry Fox "Raven Sound Studio" recording new songs that they will be
releasing this month.
